Space-Aging Research Institute
Longevity in the space age.
Asking The Right Questions
At SARI we are committed to asking the right questions about aging, because only by asking the right questions can we expect the correct answers. We are reconciling the fields of Biology, Chemistry and Physics to understand how and why humans age and what we can learn from species that age slowly, or are capable of stopping and even reversing biological aging. By exploring Dr. White’s theory of eA (Aging due to the accumulation of entropy) we are finally asking the right questions to slow and perhaps reverse tBA (thermodynamic Biological Age).
Experience and Professionalism
SARI is founded on the expertise of scientists with decades of experience in the fields of aging and regenerative medicine and based on the finding described in the upcoming book by Dr. Ian white, “The Unified Theory of LIFE”. We are focused on novel scientific insights into life, human evolution, and the aging process and exploring new approaches to promote unprecedented tissue regeneration, modulation of inflammation and age-reversal in humans within the next 7 years.
Space-Aging Research Institute
SARI was founded to perform anti-aging research and develop novel IP and technologies to slow, pause and reverse biological aging in humans. We seek to develop novel treatments for aging that will rejuvenate human tissues by 20+ years with a single or combination countermeasure. Our goal is to uncover the mechanism which will allow us to slow, pause and even reverse eA in humans.
Dr. Bob Lust
Physiologist with 40 years of experience in clinically relevant translational research. Versatile, creative, accomplished investigator and educator, with track record of funding and publishing. Experienced with building and leading teams, but accomplished and successful as a productive team member as well.
TEAM
Our Founder
Ian A. White, M.S., Ph.D., FACRM
Dr White earned his doctorate from the Ansary Stem Cell Institute, Division of Regenerative Medicine at Weill Cornell University. He currently sits as the CEO and CSO of Neobiosis, LLC, a perinatal tissue research and manufacturing organization and serves as the Vice President of The American College of Regenerative Medicine, a 501(c)6 non-profit professional society representing the diverse community of people, businesses, and organizations participating in the field of regenerative medicine. Dr. White’s work focuses on his eA theory of aging.
XPRIZE Team Members
Robert C. Jacobson
Robert Jacobson is a multi-faceted entrepreneur and accomplished space industry enabler, advocate and author. With over a decade of experience in leadership roles across organizations like Arch Mission Foundation, Space Frontier Foundation, Space Angels Network, and Desert Sky Holdings, he has expertise in leveraging space technology, finance, and collaboration for driving innovation and unlocking opportunities that benefit humanity.
Dr. Olivia Lesslar
Medical doctor interested in psychoneuroimmunology, mitochondrial biophysics, biophotons, and piezoelectric tissues in the body.
Paola Telfer
A Singularity University alumni (2015), serial exponential entrepreneur, electrical engineer, masters in business, mother, wife and mountain adventurer. I'm the CEO and Founder of Sens.ai, the most advanced brain training system for at-home use. It is a gamified wellness platform that quantifiably measures and reverses biomarkers related to biological brain aging. Sens.ai's ultimate goal is the early detection and treatment of Dementia.
Uncoupling biological aging from chronological aging
All life is coded by the same four bases:
Adenine | Thymine | Cytosine | Guanine
The answers we seek already exist in nature.
Humans: 80 years
Greenland Shark:
500 years
Turritopsis dohrnii Jellyfish:
5000+ years
The SARI team will unlock these answers.
eA
A proven team that has conducted field defining research and translated it into tangible solutions.
A systematic approach to the underlying science of aging.
Reconciling biology, chemistry and physics to understand the effects of entropy on human aging.
Health Span XPRIZE
In addition to developing innovations for potenital commercialization, SARI will compete in the XPRIZE Health Span competition.
Goal: Increase healthy years of life by reducing age related degradation of muscles, skin, immune system, and cognition.
$101 million prize purse.
Extending healthspan by just one year could generate $38 Trillion in economic returns. Extending by 10 years could generate $367 Trillion (Oxford business school).
